As part of efforts to ensure there is reliable and safe supply of blood nationwide, the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the National Blood Service is working on a Blood Service Bill to back Ghana’s provision of blood services.
The National Blood Service has also been reviewing its blood safety policy and undertaking an in-depth analysis of technologies available.
The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu, made this known at a JICA project handing over ceremony in Accra.
