MoH refutes other diseases neglect

The Ministry of Health says it has not neglected other diseases in the wake of COVID 19. It adds that equal attention is being given to all kinds of diseases such as malaria and meningitis. However, such efforts have been overshadowed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The Chief Director at the Ministry, Nana Kwabena Agyei Mensah made the remark on behalf of the Health Minister during the presentation of 500 cartons of tetriazole drugs and others by Roche, a biotech company to help administer treatment to meningitis patients.

Mr. Agyei Mensah said efforts are being made to minimize the high rise of meningitis in the country.

The Counrty Director of Roche, Philip Anderson was hopeful the drugs will go a long way to help meningitis patients.
