Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has dismissed rumors that Antoine Semenyo will miss Saturday, January 3, 2026, Premier League clash against Arsenal due to an impending move to Manchester City.
The Spaniard insisted the Ghanaian forward remains fully available for the Vitality Stadium showdown. With transfer speculation swirling, Iraola emphasized that no deal has been finalized, keeping the 25-year-old in his plans.
“Yes, Antoine is going to play in this match,” Iraola confirmed, quashing doubts about the attacker’s availability. He played down notions that the Arsenal fixture would serve as Semenyo’s farewell for the Cherries.
“No, no. I think the idea at least that he’s going to be available in these two home games in a short turnaround. I hope he can be here for more time,” the coach added.
Iraola reiterated the fluid nature of the transfer market, noting City’s advanced negotiations but stressing the absence of a signed agreement.
“There is nothing signed. For sure there are conversations, I understand the noise around but Antoine is our player,” he said.
The head coach admitted uncertainty beyond the immediate games, saying, “The market is open, you never know what’s going to happen. I cannot control things, but right now I don’t think so.”
Semenyo’s potential impact against title-chasing Arsenal looms large, especially given his blistering form this season.
The Ghanaian international has notched nine goals and three assists in just 18 Premier League appearances, making him a key threat for Bournemouth.
His inclusion could disrupt Arsenal’s campaign while fueling talk of a switch to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
