The Lands Commission has undertaken a demolition exercise around the Police hospital mortuary in Accra where a private developer has encroached on a two acre parcel of land belonging to the commission.
Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Executive Secretary of the lands Commission, Sulemana Mahama said the land is supposed to be used for keeping data for the Commission.
He said the Commission has given the private owner statutory notice and therefore will take legal action against him. He therefore advised the public to make sure they go through the necessary requirements before purchasing land.
