Most Churches in Tema were filled to capacity as some people had to sit under erected canopies outside the church to listen to the word. The congregants sang to give thanks and praise God to usher in the new year.

Messages used to usher in the new year centered on the need for Christians to be responsible.

Preaching on the theme, “The sense of responsibility”, the Head Pastor of the Life Empowerment Chapel at Sakumono, Reverend Osbert Eduam, challenged Christians to be responsible for whatever they find themselves doing.

He said Ghanaians ought to work assidiously to achieve good results for the benefit of all.
At the Kpone Apostolic Church Ghana, the District Pastor, Reverend Charles Lartequaye Aryee called on the church and the nation at large to live holy lives acceptable to God.

This he explained is the only way by which the body of Christ can possess their possession in the year 2019.

Pastor Aryee also admonished the church to always lean on God and acknowledge his ways in all they do.

He assured members that God will take them to their promise land however, they must be steadfast.

At the Teshie Victory Chapel Global Evangelical Church, the Parish Pastor, Reverend Maxwell Bonuedi encouraged Ghanaians to have faith in God as the new comes with more opportunities that will be unraveled.

Reverend Bonuedi said the challenges of 2018 will not be repeated.
