In the round-up of the December 7 polls, the Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has once again taken his campaign to the Oti region to canvass for votes.
Engaging the Chiefs and people of Guan in the Oti Region, Dr Bawumia said government is committed to bringing the needed development to the Oti region that is why is heeding calls to create the region. He urged them to trust the NPP to bring development to the district, stressing that when the NPP promises, it delivers.
As done in other regions under the One District One Factory initiative, Dr Bawumia also promised to give the Buem Constituency in the Oti Region a Ginger Processing factory to add value to the produce.
He said the government has invested in the agricultural sector in the last years and his Presidency will also create the District Mechanisation Centres to further consolidate the gains made
The NPP Flagbearer also promised to give the region a Technical Vocational Education and Training school.
