Former Vice President and 2024 NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has assured members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that a future government under his leadership will recognise and reward the hard work of the party’s grassroots.
Addressing delegates and party members after submitting his nomination forms for the NPP flagbearership race, Dr. Bawumia stressed the need for unity, reminding the party that the real contest lies with external opponents and not within its own ranks.
“Our opponent is not within; it is out there,” he told the gathering, urging members to avoid internal divisions and to rally behind a common vision.
Outlining his priorities, Dr. Bawumia pledged to focus on improving the cost of living for Ghanaians while advancing a modern and fully digitalized economy that drives growth and opportunity.
“Let us win with Bawumia as flagbearer. I will not hesitate to put my all on the line for the party,” he declared.
Dr. Bawumia’s submission of his nomination marks a significant step in the NPP’s internal race, setting the stage for a keenly contested flagbearership battle ahead of the 2028 elections.
