Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo says it’s about time to review the non-custodial sentencing.
She added that reforms in the justice delivery system are long overdue considering the issue of overcrowding in the prisons.
She was speaking at a multi-stakeholder conference on Non-Custodial Sentencing policy, Zero Draft Bill.
The Chief Justice said the review of the policy will help to reduce congestion in the prisons.
