A Lecturer and Development Expert with the University for Development Studies, Mohammed Asaah has asked government and the security agencies not to condone any attempt to bring conflict in the newly created Savannah and North East Regions.

This follows the destruction of property, particularly the NPP office in Salaga in the aftermath of announcement of Damongo as the capital of the Savannah Region.

Speaking on GBC Radio’s ‘Behind the News,’ Mr Asaah called for the perpetrators of the destruction to be arrested and brought to book.

The office of the governing New Patriotic Party’s office in the constituency was set ablaze Tuesday evening.

The protesters, displeased by President, Nana Akufo-Addo’s announcement Tuesday, insist Salaga deserved to be the regional capital.
