Dome-Kwabenya NDC Parliamentary Candidate launches campaign to unseat Deputy Majority Leader

The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Elikplim Akurugu has launched her campaign to be elected as the next MP for the area in the December 7 2020 general Elections.

She is optimistic of unseating the incumbent NPP MP as she said “After sixteen years of NPP leadership in Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Majority want change now. Vote Elikplim for the change you desire”.

Madam Elikplim promised to empower women and women groups, support the Youth to enroll on the National Apprenticeship Programme with incentive packages for Master craftsmen and Women”, if she is elected.

She pledged to lobby for the establishment of the Free Technical! and Vocational Education and Training Centre in the Constituency for skills training programmes.

She also promised to provide support to needy but brilliant pupils and ensure equal distribution of educational materials to pupils under the ELIKPLIM FOUNDATION.

“When I’m voted for, I will “organize annual competitive sports events to unearth and groom talents within the Constituency through the sports development and promotion initiative, she added.

Elikplim Akurugu who is a counsellor by profession wants to set up a “functional Guidance and Counselling Centre for students and young people” and to as well “speak out for the needs of women, youth and children to ensure dignity for all in the Constituency.

She also promised to “support and protect the welfare needs of commercial drivers and Okada riders in the Constituency”.

The campaign launch was witnessed by NDC Greater Accra Chairman, The Secretary, the Organizer and National Executive Members of The Party.
