The Electoral Commission, says it will go ahead with its intention to declare the results of this year’s Presidential election 24 hours after close of polls.

This follows mixed reactions from the public especially Political Parties, after the Commission made known its intention of declaring the election results on December 8. Acting Director of Public Affairs of the EC Mrs.

Sylvia Annoh told Nathaniel Nartey, that the Commission has put in place measures to ensure that collation of results is done in time for declaration to be made on December 8.

She said the EC is ready for the special voting on December 1, and the main election on December 7.

Mrs. Annoh advised all persons expected to vote in the special voting to do so on December 1 else they lose the opportunity to exercise their franchise in this year’s election.
