The former Western Regional  Minister, Paul Evans Aidoo, who was also an MP for Sefwi Wiawso, has expressed his interest of contesting the next year’s parliamentary elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC).

Speaking to a Radio Ghana correspondent in an interview after submitting his forms at Sefwi Wiawso, the Western North Regional capital, Mr. Aidoo said most of the projects started in his era have been abandoned to serve as white elephants.

They include the Maternity Block at Sefwi Wiawso Hospital, Mothers Hostel, schools, roads and other infrastructural projects which compelled him to come back to save the people.

According to him, a brand new ambulance bought for the hospital is lying there as a waste while many women sleep on the floors because the projects have been abandoned.

Mr. Aidoo noted that fuel purchased at 14ghc  per gallon in the NDC era is now sold at 25ghc which is bringing untold hardship to Ghanaians.

According to him, the hardship in the country has compelled security personnel to also join the political race to help rescue the Ghanaian populace crying due to poverty.
