The incumbent Volta Regional Council of State member, Francis Nyonyo Agboada, has retained his slot with two (2) votes in the keenly contested election.
Mr. Agboada pulled nineteen (19) votes out of the total thirty six (36) vote cast to get another four years whereas his closely contender, Robert Castro Mediale, pulled seventeen (17) votes.
Nyonyo Agboada, who could not hide his joy, told Journalists that he was humbled and grateful to everybody, especially the delegates.
He called on other contestants to come onboard with him to develop the Region, because “we’re one people from the same Region and we’re Ghana too”.

He asked for cooperation in order to develop the Region.
The other seven (7) contestants got zero (0) votes each.
They are Charles Atsu-Koni, Frederick Kwame Gbeku, Osei Christian Dziidzi, Dr. Bernice Adiku Heloo, Felix Lartey, Daniel Dzifa Dzakpah, Robert Castro Mediale and Osei Togbe Adza Tekpor VII ( Harry Adorbor).
