Government empowers PWDs in Kassena-Nankana

As part of government’s economic empowerment agenda for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), the Kassena-Nankana Municipal Assembly in the Upper East Region, has disbursed almost GH¢50,000.00 to 36 PWDs in the Municipality.
The amount which is supposed to be used for income generating activities, and provide educational support for children with disability, was disbursed according to the 2010 disbursement and management guidelines introduced by the Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations (GFD) and the National Council on PWDs.
