The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has strongly condemned the unlawful invasion and closure of the Bekwai District Office of the Forestry Commission by individuals reportedly posing as National Security operatives in the Ashanti Region.

In a statement issued today, the Minister described the act as brazen, unlawful, and unacceptable, warning that such lawlessness poses a threat to public order, the rule of law, and the integrity of state institutions, particularly the National Security.

“As Sector Minister, I am deeply appalled by this incident and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. Acts like this cannot and must not be allowed to fester,” the Minister stated.

He has called on law enforcement agencies to act swiftly to identify, arrest, and prosecute all individuals involved in the incident.

“This must serve as a clear deterrent to any other unscrupulous persons who may harbour similar intentions,” he added.

The Ministry assures the public of its commitment to upholding the law and protecting the integrity of public institutions.
