The Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery has reiterated Ghana’s high alertness to deal with any terrorist attacks.

This follows similar disturbances in Burkina Faso which have forced some of its nationals to migrate to the northern parts of Ghana.

At a meeting with regional commanders of the Ghana Immigration Service, Mr. Dery said although Ghana is yet to be hit by any terrorist attacks it remains the greatest threat to the country.

He said President Akufo-Addo is deeply concerned about the situation adding that government is working tirelessly to avert any such attack.

The Controller General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Kwame Asuah Takyi said the service is introducing a number of strategies at the country’s borders including thorough screening and intensified patrols at entry points.
