Group gives gov’t ultimatum to amend article 71 of 1992 Constitution

National Redemption Volunteers, a pressure group has given the government a 150-day ultimatum to amend article 71 of the 1992 Constitution.

Failure to do so will result in a street protest across the country by two million Independent young people.

Speaking at a media briefing in Accra, Chairman of the group, Richmond Owusu-Frimpong said the amendment is to stop the payment of ex-gratia to returning members of Parliament.
