An Accra High Court has adjourned the case involving the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and Deputy Communication Officer of the Party, Kwaku Boahen.

This was because the NDC chairman’s application at the Court of Appeal for stay of proceedings at the High Court is still pending.

In court today, the Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. Yvonne Atakorah Obuobisah said the application was supposed to have been moved November 23.

She added that, the case could not be heard because counsel for the NDC chairman was yet to be served with a response.

For his part, counsel for the NDC chairman, Tony Lithur told the court that they have been served with a hearing notice to appear at the Court of Appeal on October 6.

The court presided over by Justice Samuel Asiedu subsequently adjourned the case to November 11.

It is expected that by that time, the application at the court of appeal would have been determined.
