GUM Leader and Presidential candidate of the Ghana Union Movement (gum) in the just ended election 2020, Reverend Kwabena andrews, popularly known as ‘Osofo Kyiri Abosom’, has postulated that his party will start preparing and campaigning towards winning election 2024.

He admitted that GUM could not win the 2020 election due to limited time it had for campaigning, just eight months, unlike the other parties which have been in existence for over 30 or 40 years and was going into the election to capture certain areas but time was not on their side.

Rev Andrews who contested in the Presidential race for the first time, obtained about a hundred thousand votes and emerged the third force in election 2020 Presidential polls as predicted by many pre-election surveys.

When you look at the time for the work done and the way we campaigned because of the covid-19 situation, there was no time to campaign, we used just about eight months to campaign, unlike the other parties which have been in existence for over 30 or 40 years.
