Justin Frimpong Koduah Is General-Secretary elect of NPP

Lawyer Justin Frimpong Koduah, a.k.a JFK, is the new General-Secretary elect of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), the Electoral Commission has announced.

He polled 2,837 which is 51.34% of the total votes cast on Saturday, July 16, to beat incumbent  General-Secretary John Boadu 

John Boadu, his closest contender who faced off with four other aspirants, polled 2,524 which is 45.6% of the total votes cast.

Musah Iddrisu Superior polled 104 votes, Frederick Opare Ansah, 50 votes; and Ramseyer Agyemang-Prempeh, 8 votes.

Charles Bissue opted out of the contest a few days to the national executive polls.

More than 6,000 delegates casted their votes; however, more than 250 Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) members were barred from casting their votes due to a court injunction.

Outgoing NPP National Chairman, Vice Freddie Blay, swore in all the newly elected national executives at the end of the party’s delegates conference.
