President John Dramani Mahama will, on Saturday, ahead of the official opening of the Assembly of Heads of State of the African Union, host an Accra Reset side event in Addis Ababa.
Dubbed ‘Addis Reckoning,’ the event will gather continental leaders, as well as chief executives from private businesses and multilateral organisations.
Key discussions will focus on a new framework for free movement and talent circulation in Africa, backed by a digital passport; leveraging technological innovations to extract more value from the continent’s minerals; reforming global health governance; and fostering partnerships among African nations and Global South pacesetters to harness artificial intelligence.
President Mahama will be joined by other leaders of the Accra Reset Presidential Council, including key proponents of the sovereign prosperity spheres concept.
