Dennis Miracle Aboagye, Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, has questioned the credibility of polls conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, likening their forecasts to gambling.
Speaking on JoyNews AM, Mr Aboagye dismissed the polling firm’s results, describing its predictions as unreliable and largely based on conjecture.
“You know my position on Glover. There’s no credibility when it comes to him. He is like a lotto doctor,” he said, referring to the analyst behind the polls. He added that while Global InfoAnalytics uses data, its predictions are influenced by subjective views rather than rigorous methodology.
Mr Aboagye also cited past predictions, including one in which the firm forecast a victory for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. “A lot of people predicted Dr Bawumia was going to win. I predicted it too. That doesn’t mean everything he says is accurate,” he stated.
He criticised the firm’s attempts to justify incorrect projections, noting that explanations often rely on external factors rather than data integrity.
Despite his criticism, Mr Aboagye acknowledged that Global InfoAnalytics operates as a business with a team of professionals but maintained that its polling results should not be taken seriously.
“Everyone has a position on him in this country. It’s mostly extrapolation and conjecture. He uses numbers, yes, but based on emotions and feelings,” he concluded.
