Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini did not report to the Police CID headquarters at ten o’clock on Thursday, December 24, morning as stipulated in the letter inviting him over.
The CID invited Alhaji Fuseini for questioning on a statement he allegedly made on an Accra based TV station urging the Presidential Candidate of the NDC and former President John Mahama to declare himself President and form a parallel government following the declaration of the presidential results by the Electoral Commission.
However, there was no sight of the Tamale Central MP at the CID headquarters as at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Earlier, Alhaji Inusah in an interview with an Accra-based station described the invitation as defective and deficient, arguing that the CID is set up by law to investigate crimes and not comments. He said he awaits counsel from his lawyers on what to do next as far as the invitation is concerned.
