The minority Chief whip and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has taken issue with the Minister for Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen for not appearing before the house to answer questions posed by members.

According to Muntaka, the Minister has failed to appear in the House on three occasions this month which he says suggests that the minister is deliberately disrespecting the House.

Alan Kyerematen was scheduled to answer a question in the House on Tuesday but was absent with permission. However, Muntaka Mubarak says the Minister’s behaviour must not be tolerated.

He said he is ready to file a motion to compel the Minister to do so.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo however said the matter being raised by Mr. Muntaka was baseless.
