Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, has laid a wreath at the Ceremonial Garden of the Jubilee House in honour of the eight public servants who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash last week.
The solemn ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 12, according to a statement issued by the Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings was accompanied by her son, Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings, as well as her Special Aide and Administrative Manager, Mildred Annan Bentil.
Last week, the former First Lady extended her condolences to the bereaved families, the government, and the people of Ghana, following the accident which occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
“Their loss is a sad one for the entire country, and indeed the international community, many of whom may have interfaced with some of the departed,” she said in her message of sympathy.
Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings also expressed heartfelt condolences to the Ghana Armed Forces and the officers who lost their colleagues while serving the nation with dedication and honour.
