Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide says strategies have been put in place to manage the developmental expectations of inhabitants in the six newly created regions.

He said government will not relent on fulfilling its promises.

Mr. Hadzide was speaking on GTV’s current affairs programme, ‘Talking Point’.

The Acting Dean of Research and Studies, Institute of Local Government Studies, Frederick Agyarko Oduro said people of the new regions should not sit aloof and wait for government to bring development to their doorsteps.

He cited the Oti region as an example, saying that region has a lot of tourism potential that the people can cash on.

A Member of the Media Committee, Oti Region, James Kwasi Oberko said the creation of the regions will bridge the developmental gap in those areas.

He believes government will not cramp up all development infrastructure in one area.
