Campaign Spokesperson for Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s team, Mr. Pius Enam Hadzide, has described Dr. Bryan Champion as a unifying figure within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), committed to rebuilding the party and leading it to electoral victory in the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Hadzide was speaking at a public political engagement dubbed “Bryan Speaks,” held in Accra as part of ongoing internal efforts within the NPP to reflect, reorganise, and reposition the party for the future. The event, themed “Renewing the Spirit of the NPP: Grassroots, Unity, and Victory Ahead,” brought together party members, supporters, and delegates to discuss the party’s direction following recent electoral experiences.
According to Mr. Hadzide, the “Bryan Speaks” initiative forms part of broader activities aimed at renewing the party, rebuilding trust at the grassroots level, and strengthening cohesion within the NPP family. He noted that the party’s next phase must be guided by unity, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Hadzide said Dr. Bryan Champion harbours no grudges or vendettas and is determined to bring all factions of the party together.
He explained that Dr. Champion’s mission is to rebuild the NPP into a stronger, more united organisation capable of regaining the confidence of the Ghanaian electorate.
He added that leadership grounded in faith, discipline, and humility is critical at this stage of the party’s journey, noting that every defining period requires leaders prepared to respond to the unique demands of their time.
Mr. Hadzide expressed appreciation to party executives, coordinators, volunteers, and grassroots mobilisers across the national, regional, constituency, and polling station levels for their continued dedication, describing their efforts as vital to the party’s future success.
Reflecting on the 2024 elections, he acknowledged that the party must draw honest lessons from its performance, pointing to internal divisions, reduced voter turnout in some regions, and weakened grassroots engagement as challenges that must be addressed. He stressed that the NPP cannot afford to enter the 2028 elections divided.
Mr. Hadzide maintained that Dr. Bryan Champion’s background in organisation, enterprise, public service, and national leadership positions him to provide the strategic direction the party needs. He also cited Dr. Champion’s experience in business, technology, security, and governance as assets that would help reposition the NPP for victory.
He further noted that while the party admits mistakes made while in government, it must also confidently defend its record, including investments in roads, schools, hospitals, job protection measures, and economic stabilisation efforts implemented amid global challenges.
Mr. Hadzide concluded by calling on party members to embrace humility, honesty, and unity as the NPP prepares for the next election cycle, stressing that a disciplined and united party, led by a clear and inclusive vision, remains the surest path to victory in 2028.
