The governing New Patriotic Party, NPP, head to the polls to elect the next person to lead the party in their quest to break the 8 come 2024.

Four candidates, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Afriyie Akoto and Addai Nimo stand to get their fate tested on who becomes the next leader after the fifth candidate, Alan Kyeremanten bailed out following the delegates elections.

In Okaikwei Central, 750 delegates including the MP for the constituency Yaw Boamah have cast their vote to culminate to fate of the parties leadership.
