NPP’s Sheila Bartels is MP elect for Ablekuma North

Presidential results for Ablekuma North Constituency saw NPP polling 53,352 votes while NDC’s John Mahama polled 31,021 votes with GUM polling 633 votes.

The CPP had 44; GFP, 20; GCPP, 3; APC,6; LPG, 12; PNC, 8; PPP, 33; NDP, 14 and the Independent Candidate, 9. Total votes cast was 85,897. Valid votes stand at 85,155.

769 ballots were rejected.

Meanwhile, NPP’s Sheila Bartels is the elected MP for Ablekuma North. She won the seat with 54,544, while NDC’s Winifred Ashley Mensah polled 29,704 while Princess Agyemang of GUM had 716.

Rejected ballot was 427.

Speaking to the media after the declaration, Miss Bartels thanked her constituents for the confidence reposed in her, promising to invest in Education, Health and Infrastructure.

She asked supporters to be moderate in their celebration.
