The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has asked the government to show where it built the airport that Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia promised the people of Cape Coast in the last elections.

Addressing NDC supporters in Anofa in the Cape Coast South Constituency on Monday as part of her campaign tour of the Central Region, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang observed that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has taken the people for granted. She said after eight years in government, the NPP has abandoned the Central Region, adding the region has not benefited from any significant project from the government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang said while it took the Mahama administration less than four years to construct the ultra-modern Kotokuraba Market, the NPP government has not been able to complete a small market in Anafo in eight years.

She urged voters in the Central Region to vote massively for NDC presidential candidate, Mr John Dramani Mahama to enable him to create jobs, financially empower women, improve education, and promote development in the regions.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also preached against voting “skirt and blouse” in the Central Region.
