Political Analyst, Dr. Alidu Seidu has asked political parties particularly the NPP and NDC to be measured in their utterances before and after the EC’s declaration of the election results.

In his view, careless statements from these parties could mar the peace being enjoyed in the country as well as its credentials as the beacon of peace in the sub-region.

Touching on NDC’s flagbearer, John Mahama’s comment, Dr. Alidu stressed that in as much as the Party is constitutionally mandated to ensure that the will of the people is not subverted, this must be done in accordance with the law.

Dr Seidu suggested that the EC releases information on the election outcome promptly to allay the fears of the public and eliminate fake news.
