The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has begun his tour of the Greater Accra region with visits to some companies in the Tema enclave, where he chided persons who claim not to see any improvement in the lives of Ghanaians to open their eyes and see.

Speaking during a visit to Healthy life Beverages, one of the companies that benefited from governments stimulus packages, the President said despite inheriting an economy that was in bad shape, his government has been able to reduce the country’s deficit from 9.3% to 5.9%.

He said government has so far released GH¢270 million to 16 companies under the stimulus package.

On free SHS, the president said the NDC’s comment to review the policy if it regains power means a total collapse of the policy and his government will not allow that to happen.

Minister of Trade, Alan Kyerematen said the stimulus package has become necessary to boost industrial production.

Managing Director of Healthy life Beverages, one of the beneficiaries of government’s stimulus package, Nuamah Fameye, said the company currently employs three hundred workers and expects to increase the number to one thousand.
