President John Dramani Mahama has nominated four individuals to serve as Deputy Ministers, marking the final round of such appointments in his current administration.
The Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a facebook post indicated that this is the “last batch of Deputy Minister” nominations by the President.

The nominees include:
- Dorcas Afo-Toffey, MP for Jomoro – nominated for the position of Deputy Minister of Transport
- James Gyakye Quayson, MP for Assin North – nominated as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs
- Mohammed Adam Sukparu, MP for Sissala West – nominated as Deputy Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations
- Grace Ayensu-Danquah, MP for Essikado-Ketan – nominated as Deputy Minister of Health
Mr. Kwakye Ofosu emphasized that these appointments were made in line with Articles 78(1) and 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution.
The nominees’ names have been submitted to Parliament through the Speaker for prior approval, completing the President’s deputy ministerial selection process.
