group of Political Parties opposed to the compilation of a new voters’ register by the EC, the Inter-Party Resistance Against a New Voters’ Register (IPRNA), is demonstrating against the EC ‘s decision in Tamale, today.

The demonstration dubbed “Tikusayi demonstration”, will start from the Jubilee Park this morning, through Police roundaboutPrisons CanteenPK Gombila – Choggu roundaboutCentral Market – Aboabo Traffic, and reconvenat the Jubilee Park.

A statement issued by the Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC, who is also chairman of the local organizing committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Mobilla, called on residents of Tamale and its environs to join the demonstration to drum home to the EC, the need to do the right thing.

The statement cautioned persons who may want to compromise the demonstration to shirk the idea or risk facing the law.

It also called on the Ghana Police Service to tighten security to avert any mishap.
