Flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama, has described this year’s Election, as a critical event that will help change the nation’s destiny.

He has therefore entreated eligible voters to turn up in their numbers to give him the mandate to shape the future of the youth.

Mr. Mahama made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call on the President of the National House of Chiefs and Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede in Ho, as part of his campaign tour of the Volta Region.

He criticized the current administration describing it as the only underperformed Government since the inception of the Fourth Republic.

“In the history of the fourth republic, the economy has not been as bad as it is today. And Togbe let nobody say it’s because of Coronavirus. The economy was already struggling before Coronavirus came. And for the first time in our history, our Finance Ministry presents two sets of figures on the ecnomy—one they present to parliament, and the other they present to the IMF. In one, they say that the fiscal deficit is below 5% in the other the financial deficit is above 7%.”

The Agbogbomefia of Asogli, Togbe Afede, called on political leaders to promote unity and all-inclusive governance to ensure that the country achieves its development goals.
