Former President Jerry John Rawlings was on Monday, February 25, spotted directing traffic on the main Prampram –Aflao road.

The founder of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was said to be on a journey but had to alight from his Toyota Landcruiser V8 vehicle and took on the responsibility of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service.

JJ Rawlings is seen busily issuing instructions to motorists, particularly drivers who seemed to have been caught in a heavy traffic along the stretch.

There was no sign of any traffic warden or personnel of the MTTD at the scene, an indication that someone perhaps has reneged on his duties, culminating in the former president having to temporarily assume responsibility for restoring order on that stretch of the road.
