Road Safety Commission to set up Emergency first Aid posts

The National Road Safety Commission has launched the 2019 Easter Campaign and outdoored eight (8) Emergency First Aid Posts at Ankamu near Apam in the Central region.

Launching the Campaign, Minister of Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah explained that the Emergency First Aid Posts will help strengthen national capacity for post-crash care as well as train respondents and volunteers for victims of road traffic crashes.

The Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu commended the initiative and called for it to be replicated across the Districts, Municipal and Metropolitan Assemblies for the greater good of Ghanaians.

The eight emergency posts which are funded by the World Bank are located on the Accra-Kumasi, Accra-Takoradi and Accra- Aflao corridors.
