Social Security and National Insurance Trust, SSNIT has donated GHS500,000 to the COVID-19 Trust Fund. This donation is generating controversy because Labour Experts believe the SSNIT Trustees do not have the mandate and right to use workers’ money in that form.
A Labour Expert, Seth Abloso called on the Trustees to return the money to chest.
He told George Ankrah that Management of SSNIT should be warned not to misapply poor workers’ pension fund. He threatened to go to court if a donation of that nature is made again because such donations are affecting pension payments.
