The Volta/Oti chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has paid a courtesy visit to the Regional Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mrs. Roberta Okine-Fumador, at her Ho office.
Led by SWAG Regional Chairman Eric Eli Adzie and Secretary Tilda Elinam Acorlor, the team welcomed the new Director and congratulated her for the appointment.

Mrs. Okine-Fumador, in deliberation with SWAG Volta/Oti representatives highlighted the region’s rich cultural heritage and scenic attractions, focusing on ways to partner the sports media in promoting sports and tourism in the Volta Region, particularly ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
SWAG Regional Chairman Eric Eli Adzie expressed confidence in the partnership, disclosing the Association’s upcoming Breakfast Meeting and 8th Anniversary Public Lecture as potential collaboration opportunities.
He also proposed how the two institutions could boost the local economy with future collaborations. Both parties would work together to promote sports and tourism development in the region.
GTA, Volta has been a partner in sports promotion in the region, and this visit seeks to cement that relationship.
