Ghana’s Black Queens have been drawn into Group D alongside Cameroon, Mali and debutants Cape Verde for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The draw was attended by Coach and Captain Portia Boakye. The tournament is organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and is a key platform for showcasing female talent and a pathway for teams to the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Matches will be played across Morocco’s top stadiums, including Moulay Al Hassan Stadium and Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, and the Complexe Sportif de Fès in Fès.
Cape Verde will mark their debut appearance as a newly established team on the continental stage at the WAFCON 2026.
