2026 World Cup: Ghana drawn in Group L with England, Croatia and Panama

The Black Stars of Ghana have been placed in Group L for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will compete against football powerhouses England, Croatia, and Panama. 

This marks Ghana’s fifth appearance in the global tournament, promising a highly competitive group stage for the West African side.

England enters the group as one of the favorites after an impeccable qualifying run, winning every match without conceding a single goal. Their defensive solidity and attacking strength make them formidable opponents for Ghana and the other group members.

Croatia, known for their strong midfield and recent deep runs in major tournaments, will also be a tough challenge. 

Panama, although considered underdogs, have shown significant improvements and can never be overlooked in World Cup competition given their growing experience.

The 2026 World Cup will be jointly hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada, with the tournament scheduled to start on June 11 and conclude on July 19. 

Football fans around the world eagerly await this expanded event, which will showcase some of the world’s best teams and emerging talents.

Ghana’s draw presents a mix of challenges and opportunities as they look to make a significant impact in the tournament.
