Arsenal Women wrote their name into the history books on Sunday, February 1, 2026, after beating Brazil’s SC Corinthians 3-2 in extra time to win the first-ever FIFA Women’s Champions Cup at Arsenal Stadium.

Substitute Caitlin Foord scored the winning goal deep into extra time to settle a tense final and spark celebrations among the home fans. The victory hands Arsenal the Intercontinental Champions title for the 2026 season.

Arsenal took an early lead through Olivia Smith before Corinthians hit back with a header from Gabi Zanotti. Lotte Wubben-Moy restored the advantage for the hosts in the second half, but Corinthians forced extra time after Vic Albuquerque converted a late penalty.

With both teams pushing for a winner, Arsenal struck on the counter. Frida Maanum set up Foord, who kept her cool to finish and seal the historic win.

Midfielder Kim Little was named Player of the Match after a strong performance in the middle of the park.

Earlier, Gotham FC claimed third place with a 4-0 victory over ASFAR.

The Women’s Champions Cup brings together club champions from all six confederations and is staged in the years between FIFA Women’s Club World Cups, giving the women’s game a new global showcase.
