Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has revealed the Premier League team he supports when the cameras are off and the microphones are down – and it’s NOT Liverpool.
He says his favourite club in the Premier League is Tottenham Hotspur.
He disclosed this when he joined Second Lady Samira Bawumia, who was the Guest Speaker at this year’s International Youth Day celebration in Accra, on Wednesday, August 12.
Welcoming Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the MC jokingly said the Vice President was present because his wife being a Liverpool supporter doesn’t walk alone.
“This morning we asked for one Guest of Honour, the wife of the Vice President, but being a Liverpool supporter, she doesn’t walk alone and that’s why we have the man himself,” Jerry Adjorlolo jested.
But His Excellency Dr. Bawumia mounting the dais to deliver a short address revealed his support for Spurs.
“Tottenham still is erm………We will win the league this season,” he said cheerfully.
