The French Open is heating up, and two of the world’s top tennis players, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka, are set to face off in the semifinals. Swiatek, a four-time champion, extended her impressive run at Roland-Garros with a 6-1, 7-5 win over Elina Svitolina, while Sabalenka defeated Zheng Qinwen 7-6 (3), 6-3 to reach the semifinals for the second time.

Swiatek’s victory was a dominating performance, with the Polish star in total control in the opening set. Although she struggled slightly in the second set, Swiatek’s experience and skill ultimately paid off, as she sealed the win with a final ace. This win marks Swiatek’s 26th successive victory at Roland-Garros, a feat that showcases her dominance on the Parisian red clay.

Meanwhile, Sabalenka’s match against Zheng was a closely contested affair, with the top-ranked player overcoming a shaky start and windy conditions to prevail in straight sets. Sabalenka’s consistency and ability to make big points ultimately paid off, as she extended her record against the Olympic champion to 7-1. Sabalenka will be looking to reach her sixth Grand Slam final and first at Roland-Garros.

The semifinal clash between Swiatek and Sabalenka promises to be an exciting encounter, with both players showcasing their skills and determination on the court. Swiatek, who dropped outside the top four before the French Open, has not won a title or reached a final since her victory at Roland-Garros last year.

Sabalenka, on the other hand, is looking to build on her momentum after a tough loss to Zheng in Rome last month.
