GFA Presidential Election enters second round

  1. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential election has gone into a second round after the first round of voting could not produce a clear winner.

It is required that the winner should get 50% plus one vote of the total number of the votes cast.

The election is being held at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons Hall in Accra.

Kurt Okraku, Fred Pappoe, George Afriyie, and Nana Yaw Amponsah qualified for the second round of voting but Fred Pappoe pulled out of the race.

Results of the first-round of the election

Kurt E.S. Okraku  –  44

George Afriyie – 40 votes

Fred Pappoe –  6 votes

 Nana Yaw Amponsah  – 27 votes

George Ankomah Mensah  – 0

 Amanda Clinton – 0
