Ghana’s national futsal team stepped up training on Sunday, Feb 1, 2026, ahead of its CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations first-leg qualifier against Zambia on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026 at the University of Cape Coast Sports Hall.
The match is scheduled for 4 p.m. and is expected to attract strong attention as both sides chase a place at the 2026 continental tournament.


The fixture is a key test for Ghana’s growing futsal program. The Black Stars Futsal team will rely on home support as they aim to gain an advantage before the second leg.
After Tuesday’s encounter in Cape Coast, Ghana and Zambia will meet again in Lusaka for the return fixture. The winner over the two legs will secure qualification to the 2026 CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.
The double-header format makes Tuesday’s match crucial, with both teams seeking to build momentum and avoid pressure heading into the decisive second leg.
