Ghana top tennis star Naa Mckorley donates to Teshie Orphanage

Ghana top female Tennis Star, Naa Anyema Mckorley, has donated items to the Teshie Orphanage as part of her 18th birthday celebration.

The alms giving exercise took place on Friday, 8th January 2021.

The McDan Open Tennis runner up, blessed the Teshie Orphanage with toiletries,  drinks, school bags, water bottles and many others essential items to help fight COVID-19.

An undisclosed amount of money was also donated to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Teshie orphanage home, Mrs. Janet Parker, who received the items on behalf of the management and staff.

According to the Tennis Star, she was touched by what she saw on social media and the difficulties some of the children go through at the orphanage hence, her decision to support them with the little she had to put smiles on their faces.

In an interview, Naa Mckorley said she had a long standing wish to celebrate her birthday with the disadvantaged and vulnerable children in society to give them hope in the face of hopelessness.

She pledged to frequently extend aid to the orphanage.

Madam Parker on behalf of management and staff expressed gratitude to Naa Mckorley and her family for their kind gesture.
