Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey, has shared a revealing story about his early experiences with the national team. In an interview, the 32-year-old disclosed that he was once rejected by the Black Stars’ under-20 team despite training with them.

According to Partey, his agent pushed for him to join the team’s training camp, and although he felt comfortable training with the squad, he ultimately was not selected for the final lineup.

The talented midfielder recounted his experience, saying, “Well, Black Stars did not call me to come and play. I went to under-20, and I was rejected. They were going to, I think, Turkey, for the World Cup.”

This setback did not deter Partey, who continued to work hard and pursue his football dreams. His perseverance paid off, and he has since become a vital player for both his club, Arsenal and the Black Stars.

Partey’s journey to success is an inspiration to many young footballers facing similar challenges. Despite being rejected by the under-20 team, he did not give up on his aspirations. Instead, he used the experience as motivation to improve his skills and prove himself at higher levels.

Today, Partey is a respected figure in Ghanaian football, known for his exceptional leadership and midfield prowess.
