Para Athletics Association scheduled for nation-wide talent identification programme

The Ghana Para Athletics Association, in collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana (NPC-Ghana), is organising a Nationwide Talent Identification Exercise to uncover and nurture promising para-athletes across the country.

This initiative will focus on track and field events such as shot put, discus, javelin, high jump, long jump, and wheelchair racing. The Association also welcome individuals with visual impairments, hand amputations, cerebral palsy, and other eligible conditions who have the passion and ability to excel in para-sports.

Zone 1 will start in the Kumasi in the Ashanti region on 12th July. The Kumasi event will be used to launch the programme.

The next programme will be held in the Central region in Cape Coast on 26th July and the final event for the Zone will be in the Western region inTakoradi on 2nd August.

Zone 2 of the exercise will kick off in the Eastern Region on August 16 in Koforidua. It will then move to the Volta Region on August 30 in Ho, and conclude in the Greater Accra Region on September 13 in Accra.
