Group I Africa Qatar 2022 Qualifier Preview.

Morocco vs Sudan

Ranked 22 in the world, Morocco are the top seed of Group I and will look to dominate the group. Their first game in their quest to book a place in Qatar 2022 is scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2021, against Sudan.

Venue is the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. They will meet Guinea on September 6, 2021 in their next game.

Many notable players including Achraf Hakimi, Yassine Bounou, and Soufiane Amrabat are expected to boost Morocco’s prospects.

Coach Halilhodzic has assembled a Star-Studded Squad with Achraf Hakimi (PSG) , Yassine Bounou, Munir El-Haddadi and Soufiane Amrabat make the list. Interestingly Zamalek’s Bencharki is the only player currently plying his trade in Africa.

Meanwhile, after a victory over Chad in the first round of Qualifiers, Sudan’s new generation are hoping to replicate that impressive performance as they face the Atlas Lions.

Morocco has the big names that can beat any team but Sudan will not come as minnows. This game is likely to be a battle of coaches.
